Lois J. McCarty

Lois J. McCarty, 86, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Chase Center.

She was born April 6, 1929, in Carrollton, to Alva and Elsie McGuire McCarty; her parents preceded her in death.

Throughout her life, Lois lived in Flora and Bringhurst before moving to Logansport.  She attended Bringhurst United Methodist Church.

Surviving Lois are two brothers, Donald (Kay) McCarty of Logansport, and William (Carol) McCarty of Twelve Mile; brother-in-law, Tom Pearson; several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by six sisters, Doris Pursch, Mary Fouts, Betty Beaur, Wilma Garrison, Beverly Ann Pearson, and Ruth Miles.

Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora, on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Pastor Jeff Landon will officiate.  Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery in Sharon.  Memorials in Lois’ name may be made to Flora Community Club or Foundation.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
