Lois J. Schimmel

Lois J. Schimmel, 85, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Milner Community Health Care.  She was born September 28, 1933 in Clinton County to Amzie and Jessica (Stewart) Marley.  She was a 1951 graduate of Flora High School.  She married Wayne Schimmel September 25, 1953.  He preceded her in death.  She worked for Peter & Paul for 10 years and later helped care for area children for years. 

Lois is survived by her son, Douglas Schimmel of Lafayette; grandchildren, David and Brian Schimmel of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Clyde, Theodore, and Natalynn Schimmel; special friends Betty Stevens, Pat Baughman, and Melanie Holsclaw; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 8 sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 11am, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Bunnell Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
