Lois M. Miller, 84, of Lafayette, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born May 11, 1929, in Clinton County, the daughter of Earl and Malinda Eller Wagoner. On September 8, 1946, she married Harold Miller; he survives.
Lois attended Flora Schools. Lois and Harold moved to Lafayette from Rossville in 1961. She was a homemaker and loved her family with all her heart. She was a devoted mother and grandmother; her grandchildren were very special to her. Lois had a passion for animals, and also enjoyed gardening, boating, and spending time with friends.
In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by one son, Ron L. (Kim) Miller of Rossville; two daughters, Malinda (Mike) Hannah of Lafayette, and Muriel (Dave) Grimes of Dayton; one sister, Nina Wagoner of Modesto, CA; ten grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister, Beulah.
Visitation for Lois will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Justin Schlesinger-Devlin officiating. Burial will follow in North Fork Old German Baptist Cemetery in Pyrmont.
