Louise G.G. Padgett, 94, of Frankfort, died on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
She was born May 18, 1918, in Pekin, Indiana, the daughter of Warner and Rosa E. (Short) Hunt.
She married George Ronald Padgett on December 25, 1943 in Frankfort; he preceded her in death 1975.
Louise graduated from Salem High School in 1942. She moved to Frankfort in 1943. Louise worked for P.R. Mallory for 30 years. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoworking in the church kitchen, her flower gardens and loved to sew.
Surviving Louise are two children, Walter F. (Katherine) Padgett of Opelousas, LA, and Sharo(Larry) Fish of Frankfort; eight grandchildren, Shannon (Jim) Poff, Becky (Brian) Davis, Heather Campbell, Greg (Alicia) Brown, Amy (Anthony) Ferrar, Melissa (Chad) Rose, Rhonda (Shawn) Johnston and Larry (Tina) Fish II; 19 great grandchildren, Derek Thompson, Chase (Jackie)Thompson, Blake Thompson, Alex Thompson, Jacob Fish, Jessi (Derek) Dunk, Matthew Burkhalter, Abigail Burkhalter, Brett Parris, Kattie Parris, Cameron Davis, Brianna Davis, Shelbi Brown, Maddie Campbell, Payten Brown, Natalee Brown, Brookelynn Brown, Austin Rose, and Faith Rose and two great-great grandchildren, Raelyn Thompson and Noah Parris
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, Marley, Ira, Charlie, Howard, Bill, Bob, and Jim; four sisters, Nancy, Mary, Opal, and Irene; and one half-brother, Guy and one great grandchild.
Visitation for Louise will be held from on Tuesday March 5, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral services will be 10:30am on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Pearson and Paul Whitaker officiating. Entombment will follow in Green Lawn Mausoleum.
