Luis Antonio Garcia

Luis Antonio Garcia, 64, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born August 28, 1952, in Valparaiso, Zac., Mexico, to Francisco Garcia and Cristina Castañeda Garcia; his father survives in Mexico.  On November 10, 1984, he married Bertha Guajardo; she survives in Frankfort.

Also surviving are his daughters, Maribel (Jorge) Lopez and Rebekah Garcia, both of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Dayanara Lopez, Ethen Lopez, and Anabel Lopez; brothers and sisters, Teresita Herrera, Sarita Garcia, Hector Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Juan M. Garcia, Luis M. Garcia, Victor M. Garcia, Oscar M. Garcia, Roberto Garcia, Anita Pantoja, Maria Perez, and Elizabeth Toledo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Luis is preceded in death by his mother and infant sister, Maria Jesus Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.  Funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort, on Saturday, February 18, 2017, with Fr.
