Luis J. Barrios

Luis J. Barrios, 38, Frankfort, died at 9:54 p.m. Feb. 23, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Mr. Barrios was born on Oct. 24, 1972 in Fredricksburg, Texas to Juan C. and Margarita (Vidales) Barrios.

He worked at Exide Battery and in railroad construction. He graduated Frankfort Senior High School 1992. When younger, Luis had a passion for working with horses at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.

Surviving with his parents of Frankfort are one daughter, Serena; three sisters, Oralia Bazan of Frankfort, Chela Barrios of Indianapolis and Christina Wolfe of Frankfort; five brothers, Fernando Barrios of Mexico, Agustin Barrios of Illinois, Refugio Barrios of Kentucky, Juan J. Barrios of Frankfort, and Tony Wolfe of Kentucky.

Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Feb. 28, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Christopher Miller officiating. Burial will occur at Bunnell Cemetery. Calling will occur from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday Feb. 27, 2011 at Genda Funeral Home.

Gifts or flowers would be appreciated by the family.  

Per the request of Luis, casket will be closed for viewing.
