Lula M. Wright, 63, a life-long Frankfort resident, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born June 29, 1954, in Frankfort, to Lester âTeenyâ and Irene Mangis Howe. Lula married Steven H. Wright; together they shared 45 years.
Lula attended Frankfort High School and worked for many years as a roller and wrapper at National Cigar Factory. She was a member of the Euchre Club and enjoyed playing cards, attending yard sale, and making ceramics.
In addition to her husband, Lula is survived by her sons, Robert (Jenny) Darnell and Sean Darnell, both of Frankfort, and Stevie (Michelle) Darnell, of Burnettsville; step-son, Steve K. (Tina) Wright, of Frankfort; former daughters-in-law, Melissa Latus and Christy McCarthy; brother, Bob (Faye) Howe, of Frankfort; sister, Sue Howe, of Lafayette; grandchildren, Stormy, Ashley, Kylie, Kody, Kara, Brandon, Brittany, Christopher, Sean, Devon, Zachariah, Kristian, Rayden, and Macy; and ten great-grandchildren.
Lula is preceded in death by her parents, son, Chad; grandson, Brayden; brothers, Fred Howe and Jerry Howe; and sisters, Jean Craven and Mary Wells.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate.
