MA Jorge Mendoza Santos

MA Jorge Mendoza Santos, 77, of Frankfort, passed Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Eskanazi Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born April 23, 1947, in Maravatio Michocan, Mexico to Alberto Mendoza and Ambrosia Santos. She married Augustine Alanis. He preceded her in death. She then married Rotillo Mejia. He also preceded her in passing.

Jorge loved being a wife and mother. She took care of the home and all her family. Making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was what filled her heart. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and a good party! She had a youthful heart and was very fun loving and social. Jorge genuinely cared for her family and friends and would always be checking in on their well-being. She loved playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was devoted to her faith. 

She is survived by her children, Miguel (Eva) Alanis, Adan (Maria Luz) Alanis, Alejandro (Gloria) Alanis, Adelfino Alanis, Eva (Ocatvio) Cruz, Cecelio (Conception) Alanis, Leonardo (Cecelia) Alanis, and Angelica (Manuel Martinez) Alanis; and 75 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2-6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral mass will be held, 10am, Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com. 

MA Jorge Mendoza Santos, de 77 años, de Frankfort, falleció el domingo 17 de noviembre de 2024 en el Hospital Eskanazi de Indianápolis. Nació el 23 de abril de 1947 en Maravatio, Michocan, México, hija de Alberto Mendoza y Ambrosia Santos. Se casó con Agustín Alanis. Él la precedió en la muerte. Luego se casó con Rotillo Mejía. Él también la precedió en el paso.

A Jorge le encantaba ser esposa y madre. Cuidaba de la casa y de toda su familia. Crear recuerdos con sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos era lo que llenaba su corazón. Le gustaba cocinar, la jardinería y una buena fiesta. Tenía un corazón juvenil y era muy divertida, cariñosa y sociable. Jorge realmente se preocupaba por su familia y amigos y siempre estaba pendiente de su bienestar. Le encantaba jugar con sus nietos. Era miembro de la Iglesia Católica de Santa María y era devota de su fe. 

Le sobreviven sus hijos, Miguel (Eva) Alanis, Adán (María Luz) Alanis, Alejandro (Gloria) Alanis, Adelfino Alanis, Eva (Ocatvio) Cruz, Cecelio (Concepción) Alanis, Leonardo (Cecelia) Alanis y Angélica (Manuel Martínez) Alanis; y 75 nietos y bisnietos.

Junto a sus maridos, la precedieron en la muerte sus padres, seis hermanos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el domingo 24 de noviembre de 2024 de 2 a 6 p.m. en la funeraria Day & Genda en Frankfort. La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo a las 10 a.m. del lunes 25 de noviembre de 2024 en la iglesia católica de Santa María. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio de Bunnell.
