Madeline Maralee Hardt

Madeline Maralee Hardt, 76, of Flora, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Milner Community Health Center in Rossville following a brief illness.

Maralee was born on March 6, 1936 in Lexington, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Beulah Ferguson Dunn.

She was a graduate of Lexington High School and was a homemaker. She married Merritt W. “Dude” Hardt on July 7, 1956; he survives in Rossville. She was a member of Flora First Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Maralee is survived by her daughter, Janet (husband, Chuck) Spooner of Flora; two grandsons, Scott (wife, Holly) Spooner of Murfreesboro, TN, and Matt Spooner of Lafayette; great granddaughter, Grace Addison Spooner; brother, James (wife, Ruthie) Dunn of Tucson, AZ; and two sisters, Helen Leake of Lexington, IL, and Sherlyn (husband, Hal) Turnipseed of California.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Genda Funeral Home-Reinke Chapel in Flora from 4:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Pastor Woody Slade officiating. Burial will take place in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora, IN.

Memorials in Maralee’s name may be made to the Flora First Christian Church.
