Marcella J. Sigler, 86, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Rosewalk Commons in Lafayette.
She was born February 2, 1929, in Frankfort, to Lewis and Norah Turner Hoover. On October 18, 1946, she married Clay A. Sigler; he preceded her in death on May 11, 2013.
Marcella was an inspector for Rea Magnet Wire before retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and loved to play bingo, crochet, knit, and tat.
Surviving are her three sons, John R. (Ruth) Sigler of Georgetown, TX, James L. (Diana) Sigler of Clarks Hill, and Jeffrey C. (Lory) Sigler of Frankfort; two daughters; Sandra (Dana) Stichter of Wisconsin, and Deborah (Gary) Sickels of Stockwell; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Virginia Smith and Norah Fern Crum, one brother; George Hoover, and one granddaughter.
A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials in Marcellaâs name may be made to the Great Lakes Hospice Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
