Margaret Daily

Margaret “Margie” Daily, 76, of Frankfort, died on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.

She was born September 12, 1936, in Cannelton, the daughter of Thomas and Laura (Little) Walker.

In 1953, she married Don Daily; they divorced in 2011.

Margie attended Frankfort Schools.  She worked at Mallory Controls and as a waitress at the former Mac’s Steakhouse, at the former Clancey’s and later at Ponderosa.  Margie was a former Lady of the Elks.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna (David) Myers of Frankfort, Tammy (Robert) Janz of Frankfort, and Jenny (John) Snodgrass of Pickard; two sisters, Betty Mundell of Frankfort, and Kay Clark of Georgia; one brother, Michael Walker of Georgia; good friend, Diane Starnes; six grandchildren, Angie Dysinger, Jayson Martin, Brooke Rose, Wesley Janz, Ali Janz, and Whitney Walker; and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Virginia Rich; and three brothers, Harold Walker, Randall Walker, and Tommy Walker.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 2-5 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012, at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Pam Ditzren-McCall officiating.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.

Memorials in Margie’s name may be made to Paul Phillippe Resource Center or Guardian Angel Hospice.
