Margaret Louise âMaggieâ Reed, 66, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, September 30, 2014, at her home.
She was born February 19, 1948, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Lloyd King and Janet M. Elkin King Dyer. Maggie was formerly married to Eddie Fuller. In 1991, she married Donald Reed; he survives.
Maggie graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1966 and Central Beauty College in 1969. Throughout her life, she worked at Arniâs, Patrickâs Office Supply, The Ranch Grocery Store, Jim Dandyâs, Sadieâs Place, and as a babysitter. She also owned and operated her own beauty shop. Maggie was a former member of First Christian Church of Shelbyville and current member of First Church of the Nazarene; she was also a member of GAA Club and Sunshine Club. She loved playing euchre, working in her flower garden, gardening, crafting, camping, reading, and baking for her family and friends. Her true passion was her love for her family and friends and the time spent with each of them.
In addition to her husband, Maggie is survived by her sons, Brandt E. (Betty) Fuller and Christopher S. (Crissy) Fuller; step-son, Chad Allen (Lindsay) Reed;; sisters, Karen (Butch) Wadley, Connie (Lee) Bunger, Carolyn (Clarence) Duncan, and Betty (Jack) Thurman; eight grandchildren, Karrington Gallichan, Cody Fuller, Troy Fuller, Christopher Fuller, Kayleigh Fuller, DJ Townson, Shelby Townson, and Stephanie Hall; and six great grandchildren, Aliya Jase, Lukas Rhys, Corbin Hunter, Brooklyn Markley, Abbie Rose, and Blakley Bourne. Maggie also raised her niece, Carrisa Deann (Gary) King Myers.
In addition to her parents, Maggie is preceded in death by her step-father, Lloyd Dyer Jr.; three sisters, Lois Ann King, Catherine Jean Dyer, and Helen Christine King; and three brothers, Lloyd Dean âUglyâ King, Floyd James Dyer, and Lloyd Wayne Dyer.
Visitation for Maggie will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Purvis officiating.
