Margaret Olene Burkhalter

Margaret Olene Burkhalter, 104, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Clinton House Health and Rehab.

She was born December 6, 1911, in Moran, to Curt and Nellie Douglas Weida.  On December 31, 1931, she married Eugene D. Burkhalter; he preceded her in death on July 24, 1978.

Margaret graduated from Burlington High School.  Before her retirement, she worked at P.R. Mallory for 15 years.

Surviving Margaret are her daughters, Donna (Harold) Harmon of Frankfort, and Kay Stalling of San Marcos, CA; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many great, great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bon Weida; and one sister, Bernice Oglesby.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20th at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service following at Kilmore Cemetery. Pastor Cliff Howell will officiate. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
