Maria Cristina Ramirez, 43, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born March 27, 1981, Rochelle, Illinois to David Ramirez and Herlinda Ventura.
She was a class of 2000 graduate Frankfort Senior High School. She worked for Schulz IGA, Frito Lay, and Pamida over her years. She was a member of Faith Family Church. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, cooking watching cooking shows and trying new recipes. She was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Mickey Mouse. She loved her family dearly. She was always the first to wish them a happy birthday, and loved making memories with her family, especially her granddaughter who she would frequently have sleepovers with.
She is survived by her daughters, Delilah Skie Ramirez Ruiz, Aliyah Teque Ruiz, and Aria Rose Ramirez; companion, Gerardo Ruiz; siblings, Jesus Segura, Arnulfo (Deca) Segura, Sergio and wife Segura, David (Carol) Ramirez, Sylvia (Bardo) Segura, Linda (Junior Vega) Segura, and Anna Ramirez; granddaughter, Illiana Romea Guardado Ruiz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bryson Romeo Ruiz; and a nephew, Juan Carlos Alfaro.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 2-8pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will be held, Thursday, March 6, at 10am at Faith Family Church in Frankfort. Pastor Ron Masters will do the service. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be left in Maria’s honor to the family to assist with funeral expenses. María Cristina Ramírez, de 43 años, de Frankfort, falleció el viernes 28 de febrero de 2025 en su residencia. Nació el 27 de marzo de 1981 en Rochelle, Illinois, hija de David Ramírez y Herlinda Ventura.
Se graduó en 2000 de la Frankfort Senior High School. Trabajó para Schulz IGA, Frito Lay y Pamida a lo largo de sus años. Era miembro de la Iglesia Familiar de la Fe. Le gustaba bailar, escuchar música, cocinar, ver programas de cocina y probar nuevas recetas. Era una gran fanática de los Dallas Cowboys y de Mickey Mouse. Amaba mucho a su familia. Siempre era la primera en desearles un feliz cumpleaños y le encantaba crear recuerdos con su familia, especialmente con su nieta, con quien frecuentemente se quedaba a dormir.
Le sobreviven sus hijas, Delilah Skie Ramírez Ruiz, Aliyah Teque Ruiz y Aria Rose Ramírez; su compañero, Gerardo Ruiz; hermanos, Jesús Segura, Arnulfo (Deca) Segura, Sergio y su esposa Segura, David (Carol) Ramírez, Sylvia (Bardo) Segura, Linda (Junior Vega) Segura y Anna Ramírez; nieta, Illiana Romea Guardado Ruiz; y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, un hijo, Bryson Romeo Ruiz; y un sobrino, Juan Carlos Alfaro.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 5 de marzo de 2025, de 2 a 8 p.m. en la funeraria Day & Genda en Frankfort. El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el jueves 6 de marzo a las 10 a.m. en Faith Family Church en Frankfort. El pastor Ron Masters hará el servicio. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio de Bunnell.
