Maria A. Sandoval de Mora

Maria A. Sandoval de Mora, 65, of Frankfort, passed away October 11, 2023, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Maria was born June 16, 1958, in Michoacan, Mexico, to Jose Sandoval and Gozo Alanis.  She married Roberto Mora in Mexico, and he survives.

Maria was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved spending time and taking care of her grandkids.

Along with her husband, Roberto, Maria is survived by their children, Benjamin Mora (Irene Valdez), Maria G. Mora (Pedro Juarez), Reyna Mora (Alfredo Xique), Jose B. Mora, and Antonio Mora (Anahi Santillan); grandchildren, Luis Eduardo, Jonathan, and Brandon Camacho, Nicolas, Randy, Arizbeth, Dilan, Annie & Tadeo Mora; siblings, and Isabel and Carmela Sandoval and Roberto and Rosabel Sandoval.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandsons, Jovanni Camacho and Erandy Mora.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  A funeral service will be Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 St. Mary’s Avenue, Frankfort, with Father Paul Cochran officiating.  Burial will in Bunnell Cemetery.  The family asks that memorials be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

María nació el 16 de junio de 1958 en Michoacán, México, hija de José Sandoval y Gozo Alanís.  Se casó con Roberto Mora en México, y él sobrevive.

María era una ama de casa a la que le gustaba tejer y hacer gancho y le encantaba pasar tiempo y cuidar de sus nietos.

Junto con su esposo, Roberto, a María le sobreviven sus hijos, Benjamín Mora (Irene Valdez), María G. Mora (Pedro Juárez), Reyna Mora (Alfredo Xique), José B. Mora y Antonio Mora (Anahí Santillán); nietos, Luis Eduardo, Jonathan y Brandon Camacho, Nicolás, Randy, Arizbeth, Dilan, Annie y Tadeo Mora; hermanos, e Isabel y Carmela Sandoval y Roberto y Rosabel Sandoval.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y dos nietos, Jovanni Camacho y Erandy Mora.

El velorio será el jueves 19 de octubre de 2023, de 4:00 a 8:00 p.m. en la funeraria Day & Genda en Frankfort.  El funeral será el viernes 20 de octubre de 2023 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María, 600 St. Mary’s Avenue, Frankfort, oficiado por el padre Paul Cochran.  El entierro se realizará en el Cementerio de Bunnell.  La familia pide que se entreguen memoriales a la familia para ayudar con los gastos funerarios.
