Maria L. (Guillen) Stone

Maria L. Stone, 82, Frankfort, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  She was born in Albuquerque, NM on March 15, 1941 to Sylvester and Benita (Arreguin) Guillen.  She married Eddie Stone on April 11, 1959.  He preceded her in death on May 11, 2014.

Maria was a 1959 graduate of Sexton High School in Lansing, MI.  She worked for General Motors until her retirement after 25 years.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She enjoyed watching western movies and tv shows, riding motorcycles with her husband,  going out with her friends, painting and making jewelry.

Maria is survived by her children, Nick (Teresa) Stone, Debbie (Jeff) Rashid, and Cathy (Tom) Ernstberger; siblings, Tony, Tom, John, Jesus, Delores, Lupe, and Liz; grandchildren, Brittany, Brian, Whitney, Alec, and Jessica; and great grandchildren, Tanner, Tucker, and Arianna.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Procopia “Coco” and JR, and sister, Theresa.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, from 12 pm until the time of the service at 2pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.   Father Paul Cochran will officiate.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
