Marie Elaine OâDell, 72, of Rossville, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at her home.
She was born September 24, 1942, in Cherokee, Iowa, to George and Dola Wymore Clark. On September 21, 1963, she married John W. OâDell; he preceded her in death on November 28, 2012.
Marie graduated from Quimby (Iowa) High School in 1960. She was a sales associate at Loweâs and Furrows and had worked at Rockwoods Manufacturing in Rossville. Marie was a member of Pyrmont United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, and spending time with her family and her dog, Lucky. She loved music and played both the saxophone and piano. Marie loved her children and grandchildren; she felt fortunate to have had the time she did with her great grandchildren.
Surviving Marie are her children, Yvonne L. (Hal) Snyder, Joanna OâDell Krauskopf, Tina Marie (John) Muckenfuss, and John W. OâDell II; brother, Jerald Clark; sisters-in-law, Liz, Doris, and Carol; grandchildren, Jason F. Snyder, Stephanie R. (Brad) Adams, Jeremy A. Snyder, Derek S. Strong, Kyle E. Strong, Brandon M. Strong, Tyler J. Krauskopf, and Abbey M. Krauskopf; great grandchildren, Jackson Monroe Strong, Elijah Lee Strong, and Savannah Lynne Louise Adams; and special friends, Janie, Billie, and Betty.
In addition to her husband, Marie is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, George Clark Jr., Charles Clark, and Ronald Clark.
