Marjorie Lucille Roberts, 91, of Frankfort, died at 3:21 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Clinton House Health & Rehab.
She was born May 19, 1920, in Hoopston, Ill., to Arlie Lee and Rachel C. (Ramsey) Smith. She married Dallas C. Roberts June 18, 1938 in Delphi. He preceded her in death March 1, 1994.
A homemaker, Mrs. Roberts had also worked for National Cigar for 2 years, at the Hillisburg Post Office for 5 years and at a grocery store in Hillisburg. She moved to Frankfort in 1994 from Hillisburg. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Moran Methodist Church, and taught Sunday School; she was also a member of OES in Frankfort
She is survived by a daughter: Judie (Larry) Siders of Frankfort; two sons: Robert Lee (Loretta) Roberts of Arnett, W.V. and William F. (Diane) Roberts of Kokomo; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Jerry Roberts; one grandson: Kevin Roberts; one brother: Orville Smith; three sisters: Fern Cartmill, Thelma Price and Juanita Bozworth; and a daughter-in-law: Betty.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 13 at Genda Funeral Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Alber officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
