Marsha Gottschalk

Marsha Gottschalk, 60, of Rossville, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born May 5, 1954, in Royal Oak, MI; her parents, Dave and Betty Brown Ward, survive in Reynolds.  She married David Gottschalk; he survives.

Marsha attended Rensselaer High School.  She was general manager for Grandma’s Restaurant in Rensselaer and later Crazy D’s.  Marsha attended Living Stone Church and enjoyed yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was an accomplished water skier and performed at Indiana Beach Water Ski Shows.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marsha is survived by her children, Angelia Marie (Tony) Strickland, Mandee Sue (Corey) Nicolas, Richard Dennis Budd Jr., Cassandra Marie Phegley, and Billy Gottschalk; one sister, Debra Hurlburt; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeanne and Frank Bushman; 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one nephew, four nieces.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Budd; and sister, Dee Joseph.

Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 3:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor David Vanaman officiating.  Memorials in Marsha’s name may be made to the family to help defray costs.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
