Martin Wilson, 90, of Mulberry passed away March 5, 2011 at 9:00AM in Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette.
Martin was born June, 24, 1920 in Manson, IN to the late Royal & Mae (Swope) Wilson. He married Rosella Turner on April 28, 1951 and she preceded him in death on October 1, 2003.
Mr. Wilson worked at Alcoa for 41 years retiring in 1982, he was a member of the 25 year club. He attended schools in Jefferson where he grew up. Martin moved to Mulberry in 1953 and lived there until 2009 when he moved to Heritage Healthcare. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
Surviving are one son, Mark (wife Cathy) of Lafayette. Three grandchildren, Eric (wife Nancy) of Florida, Adam (wife Katie) of Dayton and Leslie (husband Shawn) of Lafayette. Martin also has one surviving brother Paul Wilson of West Lafayette and one sister Emma Amthauer of Logansport. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 sister Dorothy Slaughter and 3 brothers Jim, Ralph and Claude.
Funeral services will be held at Bodine Funeral Home, Mulberry on Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 10:00AM, with Pastor Ross Terry officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for memorials to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
