Mary Dawn Driggs, 59, of Mulberry, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at her home.
She was born November 1, 1954, in Lafayette, the daughter of Dale and Rebecca Cave Thompson. In October, 1979, she married Robert W. Driggs; he survives.
Mary Dawn attended Clinton Prairie High School. She was a foster mother and owner and operator of âFor Kids Onlyâ Day Care in Mulberry for 14 years. Friends defined Mary Dawn as a person who âwould give you the shirt off her back.â
In addition to her husband, Mary Dawn is survived by one son, Michael (Nicole) Alexander of Mulberry; three daughters, April Dawn (Jeffrey) Martin of Lafayette, Heather Ann (Justin) Winger of Montgomery County, and Jennifer Nicole Brettnacher of Mulberry; one sister, Artie Freeman of Indianapolis; two brothers, Bob Bandy of Mulberry and Jim Bandy of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Cassie, Sierra, Nathan, Cole, Makara, Zoe, Aubrey, Jozie, and Adalyn; and grand-doggie, Daisy Mae.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Mulberry from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 5:00 p.m. A memorial fund is established at Farmers Bank in Mary Dawnâs name to help the family with expenses.
