Mary Frances Parker, 91, of Frankfort, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with many family and friends Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation in Frankfort were she had lived and was loved by many of the staff. She was born March 9, 1930, in Clinton County, to Harold and Leota (Talbert) Hinton.  She was the eldest of six siblings, Mable (Charles “Speck”) Weida, Jim (Karen) Hinton, Joe (Betty) Hinton, Nancy (Ted) Stewart, and Kay (Randy) Cunningham. 

She married the love of her life, Russell E. Parker, on December 17, 1955.  He had three children upon marriage and they increased their family by two more children.  Von E. (Margie) Parker, Linda L. (Bob) Bushong, Philip L. (Diana) Parker, Charles B. (June) Parker and T. Ann (David) Hein.  They had 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Though we have listed a few, her lineage of family and her love for them is long.

Mary graduated from Frankfort High School in 1949. She worked and retired from Prairie Stream Farms in 1992.   She owned a ceramic shop where she was able to share her love of art and painting.  She had lived in Silverdale, Washington for several years before moving back to Frankfort.  She loved the Lord and had the heart of a servant, she enjoyed serving, sharing with and helping others. She was known for her cooking skills and could turn leftovers into a feast.  Many looked forward to her Christmas gifts of homemade noodles. She passed this passion and love of cooking to her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Leota Hinton; her husband Russell Parker after 38 years of marriage; sons, Von E. Parker Charles ‘Chuck’ Parker and a daughter Linda Lu Bushong.

Memorial visitation will be held at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 2pm with Pastor Ed Selvidge officiating.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
