Mary H. Everett

Mary H. Everett, 73, of Lafayette, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, at IU Arnett Health in Lafayette.

She was born October 9, 1940, in Wabash, the daughter of Woodrow and Nina Keller James.  On September 4, 1959, she married Thomas L. Everett; he preceded her in death on August 14, 2007.

Mary attended Rossville High School.  She worked at Purdue University at Frasier Courts, a residence hall before retiring in 1991.

Surviving Mary are three sons, Jeff (P.J.) Everett and Thomas L. Everett Jr., both of Delphi, and William (Teresa) Everett of Lafayette; one daughter, Lori Ann (Anthony) Betts of Lafayette; two sisters, Karen James and Ramona Lybrook, both of Delphi; one brother, Robert James of Delphi; 18 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mary is preceded in death by one son, David Everett; two sisters, Josephine and Evelyn; and one brother, Gary.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m.  Pastor Guy Studebaker will officiate.  A committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014, at Rossville Cemetery.  Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery.  Memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
