Mary Jane Kemmerer

Mary Jane Kemmerer, 77, of Rossville, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born May 1, 1938, in Frankfort, to Rule and Florance Smith Hufford.  On October 23, 1955, she married John Kemmerer Jr.; he survives.

Mary attended schools in Indianapolis.  She worked at P.R. Mallory and in 1979, started working on the production line at Donaldson’s before her retirement.  Mary was family orientated and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by two sons, John Kemmerer of Rossville, and Jerry (Renè) Kemmerer of rural Frankfort; daughters, Debra Kemmerer and Cheryl Kemmerer, both of Rossville, and Brenda (Paul) Rogers of Frankfort; sisters, Donna Kline of Indianapolis, and Camile Cline of Franklin; brothers, Richard Hufford of North Carolina, Vernon “Buddy” Hufford of Louisiana, and Joe (Darlene) Hufford of Frankfort; nine grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carolyn Plummer.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m.  Pastor Mike Crawford will officiate.  Memorials in Mary’s name may be made to American Diabetes Association, Clinton County Humane Society, or Abilities Services.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
