Mary Lois Miller, 89, of Buck Creek, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville.
She was born April 12, 1927, in Tippecanoe County, to Martin E. and Verna Beahm Boyd. On August 24, 1946, Mary Lois married Melvin L. Miller; he survives.
Mary Lois was a homemaker while working hand in hand with her husband in the daily farm activities. She was a member of the North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
In addition to her husband, Mary Lois is survived by three daughters, Janet (Dean) Deaton, of Rossville, Martha (Robert) Yonker, of Germantown Hills, IL, and Linda Miller, of Lafayette; sister, Esther Koble, of Flora; six grandchildren, Amy Flory, Aaron and Adam Deaton, Amanda Wilson, Grant Gangwer, and Bethany Hoffman; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mary Lois is preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and B. Wayne; and one infant sister, Beulah.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 2:00 â 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016, at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in the North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery. Memorials in Mary Loisâ name may be made to Buck Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
