Mary Margaret Meek-Fox

Mary Margaret “Tom” Meek-Fox, 91, of Flora, passed away at Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Milner Community Health in Rossville.  She was born October 23, 1926 in Deer Creek to Robert and Elva (Stephens) Dillon.  She was a 1944 graduate of Deer Creek High School.  She worked for 37 years at Sayco.  She was a member of Eastern Star and Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren.  She enjoyed painting oil on china and gourds and working in her flower garden, and she never met a stranger.

Mary is survived by her children, Judy (Howard) Peoples of Battle Ground, Mary Jo (Joe) Redmon of Flora, Jerry (Angela) Meek of Lafayette, James (Maryjo) Meek of Delphi, Jill (Ken Coddington) Meek of Flora; brother, Ben Dillon Deer Creek; sister, Barbara Duckworth of Fort Worth, TX; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joe Meek and Ben Fox; brothers, Robert  and Jim Dillon; and sisters, Marge Lesh, Shirley Smith, and Roberta Martin.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 5-8pm at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora and Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren.   Pastors Bruce and Cindy Dunk will officiate.  Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
