Matthew K. Whipple

Matthew K. Whipple, 45, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.  He was born in Lafayette on June 6, 1975 to Rolland and Evelyn (Gillum) Whipple.

He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1993.  He worked in receiving and sorting for several years at the Goodwill store in Lafayette.  He enjoyed music and traveling with his brother. 

Matthew is survived by his father; brothers, Kevin Whipple of Lafayette, and Joseph Whipple of Colorado; and nephews, Collen and Aubrey.  

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  His uncle, Walter Wilson, will officiate.  Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with the arrangements.
