Ruth âMaxineâ Braden, 90, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, at I.U. Arnett in Lafayette, Indiana.
She was born September 1, 1924, in Casey, Illinois to Calvin and Thelma Miller Lashbrook. In 1942, she married Kenneth Kaser, he is deceased. Then in 1955, she married Elden Braden of Frankfort.
A lifelong Clinton County resident, Maxine was a 1942 graduate of Colfax Schools. She retired after working 33 years from Mallory. Maxine was a member of the Women of the Moose, Ladies Elks, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Delta Sigma Kappa Soriety and volunteered for 20 + years as a Pink Lady. She was also a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Judith Ann Rose of West Lafayette, In, Tootsie Garriott of Roachdale, IN; two step-children, Larry (Judy) Braden of PA, Linda Shinall of Oregon; two sisters, Vera (Frank) Minth of Frankfort, IN, Janie (Ben) Emens of Frankfort, IN. Six grandchildren, Tony and Rick Pickering, Brenda Calloway, Melanie Morelock, Jeff and Marc Garriott; 16 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Lashbrook and Donald Lashbrook.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from -4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Green Lawn cemetery.
