Michael Edward âMikeâ Hodge, 58, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, at his home.
He was born December 21, 1956, in Frankfort, to Edward âNedâ and Florence âFloâ Hodge; his mother survives in Frankfort. Mike was formerly married to Susie Smith Hodge.
Mike graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1976. He then served in the United States Air Force. Before retiring, he was a warehouse manager in addition to several other positions throughout his life. Mike tended bar in the area. He was an active member of the Moose and past Moose of the Year, and an active member of the Eagles where he enjoyed socializing. Mike was also a member of the Frankfort JayCeeâs and Civil Defense. He enjoyed listening to music and golfing.
In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his daughter, Brandi Hodge (Jason Henderson) of Frankfort; stepson, Dave (Lacey) Jacobs of Frankfort; sisters, Linda (Mark) Woodward of Frankfort, Jenny (Mike) Alexander of Lebanon, and Reneè (Chris) Pickett of Whitestown; brother, John (Anita) Hodge of Lafayette; and five grandchildren, Brady Henderson, Paige Henderson, Alyssa Henderson, Ella Jacobs, and Kye Jacobs.
Mike is preceded in death by his father and his sister, Micele E. Taylor.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate.
