Michael W. Montgomery, age 60, Frankfort, died April 12 at 5:24 AM in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born March 12, 1951 to Hobert & Katherine (Sears) Dobson Montgomery in Frankfort, he married Kenni Pickering and she survives.
A lifelong resident of Frankfort, he was a proud Woodside Woodchuck, graduated from Frankfort Senior High School and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1971-1974. Michael was the Head Electrician at the Indiana School for the Deaf for the past 17 years. He was D.A.V. Disctrict Commander from 1982-1984 and was a former member of the VFW, American Legion and the Moose. He was known to many as ""Uncle Mike"".
Surviving with his wife of Frankfort are two daughters, Jamie Buzzard, Lafayette & Chantilly Lace (husband Dustin) Mills, Kirklin, three sons, Kenneth Michael Montgomery, Buckhannon, WV, Tommy Lee (companion Jade) Montgomery, Frankfort & Gabriel Hobert Montgomery, four sisters, Billie (husband George) Burkhalter, Buck Creek, Florence Walker, FL, Linda Frye, Clarks Hill & Elizabeth Cook, Frankfort, three brothers, Daniel (wife Marvinna) Montgomery, Frankfort, Phillip (wife Tina) Montgomery, Michigantown & Hobert (wife Mindy) Montgomery III, Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Roberta Smith & one brother Terry Dobson.
Calling will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 15 at Genda Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 16 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, Pastors James Barnard and Lewis Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery with military burial rites.
