Michele E. Taylor, 58, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.

She was born July 6, 1955, in Lafayette, to Edward “Ned” and Florence “Flo” Day Hodge; her mother survives in Frankfort.  Michele was formerly married to Charles W. Haupt.

Michele graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1973.  She worked for 20 years at Ye Old Spirit Shop as a manager.  Michele was a member of the Women of the Moose.  She enjoyed any warm beach she could find and was an avid reader.

In addition to her mother, Michele is survived by one daughter, Heidi E. Haupt (fiancé, Jerry) of Indianapolis; three sisters, Linda (Mark) Woodward of Frankfort, Jenny (Mike) Alexander of Lebanon, and Renee (Chris) Pickett of Whitestown; and two brothers, Mike Hodge of Frankfort, and John (Anita) Hodge of Lafayette.

Friends may gather at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort on Friday, April 4, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m.  Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate.  A private family inurnment will be at a later date.  Memorials in Michele’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
