Michelle (Kiefer) Rico-Meece

Michelle Leigh Rico- Meece, 51, Frankfort, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon.  She was born May 7, 1971, in Plymouth to Theresa Ann Kiefer.  She married Michael Meece, December 28, 2016, and he survives.

Michelle was a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1989.  She went on to Ivy Tech College and received an associate degree in nursing.  She worked for Harbor Manor Healthcare in Noblesville, and then Tender Care Home Health Care out of Indianapolis.  She was a strong believer in her Catholic faith.  She had a caregiver’s heart and was always taking care of others.  She loved listening to 80’s classic rock, her dogs, and spending time with her children and family, especially her grandson, Mason.

Along with her husband of 6 years, Michelle is survived by her mother and father Theresa and William Hunneshagen; children; Kayla (Zach) Burns, Alejandra Rico, Jordan Meece, Brady Meece, Sean Meece; siblings, Michael (Katie) Hunneshagen, Holly Hunneshagen; mother-in-law, Sandy (Danny) Street; a grandchild, Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 29, 2023, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Community Christian Church in Frankfort.
