Mildred S. Hollowell

Mildred S. “Millie” Hollowell, 87, of Logansport and formerly of Flora, died on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

She was born August 5, 1925, in Rushville, the daughter of Elsie and Rose Patterson.

Millie married Keith Hollowell; he preceded her in death on November 11, 2006.

She graduated from Rushville High School.  Millie was a homemaker, a member of the Flora Extension Homemakers Club, and worked with the Flora Senior Center.

Surviving are her children Darlene Hornaday, Rick (wife, Meemee) Alexander, Suzie (husband, Andy) Lee, Dennis Alexander, Gayla (husband, Brian) Zimmerman, and Chris Hollowell; one brother, Jim Patterson; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and four sisters.

Visitation for Millie will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home-Reinke Chapel in Flora from 4-7 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dean Hornaday officiating.  Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery in Sharon.
