Molly Norton Bishop Hussein, 77, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi.
She was one of five children and the only girl born to Arthur D. and Winifred Bishop and the first of her siblings born in a hospital in Kokomo, Ind. She worked hard over the course of her adult life together with her husband, Hassan Hussein, to start and sustain a small family business.
As a young adult, Molly moved to Long Beach, Calif. where she successfully raised two sons. She later met and married her life partner, Hassan Hussein, and returned to live in Flora.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years; two sons, David Glidden and his wife, Sheree, and Todd Glidden and his significant other, Frank; two grandsons, Michael and Matt Glidden; three brothers, Dick Bishop and his wife Jane, Mike Bishop and his wife Ann, and Dan Bishop and his wife Ruth Ann; a great many friends and of course her little dog, Lilly, all of whom have been a great source of love, happiness, friendship and support to her.
Preceding Molly in death are her parents and one brother, Thomas W. Bishop and his wife, Joanne.
Molly cared deeply about friends and family, enjoyed cheering her children on in life, and had a love of sports, particularly basketball, as long as it was anything Hoosier. She had a particular passion for cooking, mostly from memory and sharing recipes with anyone who would listen.
As anyone who know Molly could attest, she also had a keen sense of humor which she liked sharing and always loved a good laugh.
The morning of her passing saw a beautiful, soft pink sky, a favorite color, over a tranquil Big Platte Lake in Michigan, a place she spent many a treasured summer enjoying with friends and family.
A small memorial service honoring Mollyâs life for friends and family will be held at First Baptist Church, 115 W. Columbia St., Flora, on Friday, November 18, at 10:00a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
