Nancy J. Spray, 71, of Mulberry, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community.
Born April 16, 1940, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Lola Spencer Dowden. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1958 and attended Indiana University.
She married Donald E. Spray Sr. on June 22, 1963, and he died Aug. 8, 2011.
Mrs. Spray worked at Mallory Controls and Alcoa. While working at the factories, and even after the factories, she was a saleswoman, selling various products from ceramics, plants, exercise equipment, Pampered Chef and Tupperware. She was known as the âTupperware Ladyâ.
Surviving are a son, Donald E. Spray Jr. (wife: Margie) of Flora; a sister, Karen Dowden Roberts of Frankfort; and two brothers, Bill Dowden (wife: Marybeth) of Kokomo and Mike Dowden (wife: Sara) of Frankfort and two grandchildren, Shelby Spray and Josh Spray.
A brother, Pat, preceded her in death.
Calling will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Genda Funeral Home, Frankfort with the service at Gendaâs at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, Pastor Woody Slade officiating. Interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery.
