Neal C. Jenkins

Neal C. Jenkins, 51, lifelong resident of Bringhurst, died on Monday, January 14, 2013, at IU Health in Lafayette.

He was born February 13, 1961, the son of Charles E. and Betty J. Ruegamer Jenkins.

Neal worked as a welder for Cab Co. and Walton Manufacturing.  He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed fishing, rock and arrowhead hunting, and playing video golf.

Surviving Neal are five brothers, Lyle Scott Jenkins, Jimmie Jenkins, Charles Jenkins, Lenard Robison, and Patrick (Carol) Robison; three sisters, Peg (Ed) Matthews, Karen (John) Whitfield, and Leanne (Ron) Brower; three sisters-in-law, Sandy Jenkins, Wilda Jenkins, and Ann Jenkins; brother-in-law, Don Johnson; several nieces and nephews including Tyler Jenkins and Brent Jenkins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Robert Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Ronald Jenkins, Kenneth Jenkins, Thomas Jenkins, Jeffrey Jenkins, and Michael Robison; and one sister, Jane Johnson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the Scout Cabin in Flora Community Park from 2-4 p.m.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.

Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home-Reinke Chapel.
