Neal R. Iddings, 63, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born April 29, 1950, in Lebanon, the son of Wendell B. and Thelma Jean (Witt) Iddings. Neal was formerly married to Debra J. Akers. On March 10, 1990, he married Christine F. Steiner Moore; she survives.
Neal attended Lebanon High School and later received his GED. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a self-employed finish carpenter. Neal was later employed at Equipment Technology in Mooresville for 20 years. Neal was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Sheridan and member of the Kirklin American Legion. He loved his rescue animals and was a true people person.
In addition to his wife, Neal is survived by four daughters, Angela A. Clemens of Lebanon, Elisabeth A. (Jeremy) Ulshaffer of Speedway, Emily J. (Adam) Yeary of Forest, and Jessica E. Haltom of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, Olivia, Jobe, Gavin, Kate, Aden, Ella, Mara, Zoey, and Elliott; and his good friend, âBig Daddyâ.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dennis Iddings.
Visitation for Neal will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with Masonic rites being held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Bogue officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Military graveside honors will be performed. Memorials in Nealâs name may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society or Indiana Horse Rescue.
