Neva Marie Walker, 92, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
She was born October 27, 1921, in Monroe County, KY, the daughter of Tommie Y. and Dulcia Kingery Davis. On December 25, 1937, she married Floyd Leon Walker; he preceded her in death on November 12, 1996.
Neva lived in Kirklin for 35 years before moving to Frankfort in 1984. She worked as a seamstress. Neva was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort.
Surviving Neva are five sons, Floyd L. (Patricia) Walker of Elgin, SC, Charles E. âEdâ Walker of Holmes Beach, FL, Larry E. Walker of Lafayette, Alvin D. (Susie) Walker of Frankfort, and Richard L. Walker of Ohio; two daughters, Judith A. (Paul) Blackburn of Greensburg, and Brenda L. (Rick) Maggart of Frankfort; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Neva is preceded in death by her parents, step mother, Marie; one sister, Christine Elizabeth Pruitt; one brother, Charles Farrell Davis; and one great grandson, Jacob Walker.
Visitation for Neva will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Gregg Davis officiating.
