Norma Jean Wagoner

Norma Jean (Gascho) Wagoner, of Rossville, was born at home near Rossville, in Clinton County, on December 28, 1929, to Andrew and Rena (Eikenberry) Gascho.  She flew away to Jesus and her heavenly home on April 5, 2017, at the age of 87.

She was married to Keith Leroy Wagoner on May 7, 1949.  They enjoyed 35 years of marriage before he was called home on June 19, 1984.  They were blessed with three daughters.  Norma accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized on April 30, 1948.  She was a member at the Cutler Ridge District of the Old German Baptist Brethren ~ New Conference.

Norma was always hardworking ~ loved yardwork and flowers, was an excellent cook, excelled at bookkeeping and was good to neighbors and those in need.  She spent many days helping her daughters when needed.  After her graduation from Dayton High School in 1947, she worked for a public accountant in Lafayette.  During their marriage, Norma was a wonderful homemaker, helping her husband with his many endeavors, including farming.  She cashiered auctions for many, many years before and after her husband became an auctioneer.

She enjoyed fishing, mushroom-hunting, and traveling ~ she took art lessons and created many beautiful oil paintings.  She played thousands of games with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and friends.  They have many happy memories of those times.

Surviving Norma are her three daughters and their husbands:  Peggy and Clayton Flora, Marg and Craig Blocher, Velma and Gilbert Wolf; nine treasured grandchildren:  Mark (Angela) Flora, Lynn (Lynette) Flora, Ryan (Cheryl) Flora, Brad (Malinda) Blocher, Tonya (AJ) Metzger, Luke (Kara) Wolf, Lana (Phil) Beery, Maria (Levi) Hess and Doug Wolf.  Also surviving are twenty-six beloved great-grandchildren, her brother, Raymond Gascho, and his wife, Marilyn; her sister, Laura Lah, and her husband, Ronald; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Sarver, and her husband, John.  Preceding her in death, besides her husband, Keith, were her parents and a brother-in-law, Alvin Shively.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 2:00 – 5:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Her memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Cutler Ridge Meeting House, 3521 S.
