Odell Loveless

Odell Loveless, 87, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette.

She was born March 26, 1929, in Monroe County, KY, to Herman and Lela May Miller Francis.  In February, 1949, she married Joseph Loveless Jr.; he passed away in 2009.

Odell moved from Kentucky while a child to Indiana.  She lived most of her adult life in rural Clinton County before transferring to Creasy Springs in Lafayette in 2015.  She fulfilled her childhood goal of being a housewife, mother, and grandmother.  Nothing pleased Odell more than spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed euchre, crossword puzzles, and going to the casino.

Surviving Odell are her six children, Stan Loveless of Colfax, Dianna (Tony) Ping of Mulberry, Larry (Beth) Loveless of Frankfort, Roy (Kimberly) Loveless of Lafayette, Kevin (Brenda) Loveless of Frankfort, and Keith (Cindy) Loveless of Michigantown; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer Loveless Barrera, Andy Ping, Angie Ping Alexander, Chris Loveless, Joey Loveless, Holly Loveless, Jessica Loveless DeHerdt, Ryan Loveless, Stevie Loveless, Mandy Loveless, Lacey Loveless, Britney Loveless, Rebecca Loveless, and Quincy Loveless; nine great-grandchildren; brother, James (Clinton) Francis of Corbin, KY; and sister, Thelma Denham of Sarasota, FL.

In addition to her husband, Odell is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Denton Francis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  A private funeral service will be held.  Burial will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Odell’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
