Orpha R. Routh

Orpha Ruth (Walker) Routh, 81, of Frankfort passed away at 1:39AM on February 4, 2012 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. Born on September 11, 1930 to Roy and Dora (Davis) Walker in Clinton County, Sugar Creek Twp.

She married James Gordon Routh on October 23, 1955 in Sugar Creek Christian Church the marriage ceremony was officiated by Rev. J.C. Thompson the uncle of the bride and Rev. Hubert Mohler. James preceded her in death on November 18, 1995. Orpha worked for seven years for the Indiana State Industries in the State House in Indianapolis and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by three children Sandra Sue (husband Michael) Norris of Frankfort, Linda Lee Hodgen of Frankfort and Darrell Duane Routh of Camden. Two Sisters Elma Gallichan of Frankfort and Janiece Conner of North Fort Myers, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Megan (husband Dustin) Lovelady, Jeremiah Norris and Courtney Hodgen; Two Step Grandchildren, Craig (wife Morgan) Norris and Jim Norris; Two Great Grandsons, Lane and Luke Lovelady; Three Step Great Granddaughters and one Step Great Grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Floyd, Ralph, Carl, Robert and Dorsal and three sisters, Mary Bowman, Wilma Nolte and Roberta Keeling

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 1:00PM at Genda Funeral Home with Larry Purvis officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
