Pansy E. Webb Cornell, 80, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
She was born December 30, 1935, in East Prairie, MO, to Oscar A. and Ruth Stockman Ellis. In 1954, she married James Earl Webb; he passed away on February 18, 2001. On January 12, 2002, she married Glenn A. Cornell; he survives.
Pansy graduated from Scircleville High School. She worked for 20 years at P.R. Mallory while also being a homemaker. Pansy was a member of St. Maryâs Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary, Ladies of Charity, Delta Sigma Kappa, and Women of the Moose. She bowled for over 40 years with the Tuesday Bowling League and played with the Wilshire Euchre Club.
In addition to her husband, Pansy is survived by her children, Teresa (Steven) Beardsley, of Frankfort, Ruth (Ray) Stauffer, of Oklahoma City, Genie (Dean) Newhart, of Mulberry, and J. Mark (Tina) Webb, of Camden, TN; step-children, Vicki Lynn Elkins, of Romney, Lori Ann (Dan) Pickett, of Crawfordsville, and Natalie Jean (Pat) Griswald and Anthony Cornell, both of Lafayette; brothers, Sherman R. Ellis, of Naples, Florida and William âBillâ (Betty) Ellis, of North Little Rock, AR; sister, Dathel (Harold) Collins, of Flora; 12 grandchildren, many step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren.
Pansy is also preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Jim Eklins; sister-in-law, Mary Ellis; grandson Daniel; great-grandson, Ezekiel; brother, Wildon, and two sisters, Deloris and Vivian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with rosary service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Chris Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorials in Pansyâs name may be made to Clinton County Cancer.
