Paul Acil Lashbrook

Paul Acil Lashbrook, 94, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Frankfort.

He was born March 22, 1919, in Clinton County, the son of Glen Luther and Nellie Jewell Alexander Lashbrook.  On December 20, 1941, he married Elsie Margaret Briggs; she preceded him in death on July 19, 2012.

Paul served in the United States Army during World War II.  He attended Olivet Nazarene University and was a missionary on a Native American Reservation in Arizona.  Paul was a pastor for Light House of Hope and several local Wesleyan churches.

Surviving Paul are special nephew, John (Janet) Trent, his care taker for several years; sisters, Anna Mae Trent and Wilma Joy (Donald) Hill; brothers, Charles Everett (Joan) Lashbrook, Harold Glen (Marjory) Lashbrook, and Raymond Levon (Mary) Lashbrook; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Paul is preceded in death by his parents, two infant sisters, Florence and Ellen Clorene; sisters, Irene Watts and Maxine Campbell; and brothers, Robert Eugene Lashbrook and Richard Leo Lashbrook.

Visitation for Paul will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Kelly Kurth officiating.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Paul’s name may be made to Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
