Paul J. Shreve Jr., 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born December 22, 1934, in Indianapolis, to Paul J. Shreve Sr. and Dorothy Emminger Sharp. On July 9, 1960, he married Beverly K. Pedigo; she survives.
Paul graduated from Broad Ripple High School and then attended Indiana University. He served in the United States Army before working as a steel salesman at Indianapolis Steel Warehouse. He later owned and operated Almet Sales. He was a member of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Noblesville Elks, Broad Ripple American Legion, Second Presbyterian Church, IU Varsity Club, and 50 year member of Lodge #126 Millersville Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Scott Shreve and Stephanie (Dean) Fulton; brother, John (Becky) Shreve; half-brothers, Joseph Shreve and Daniel Shreve; brother-in-law, Jim Harrah; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Corabelle Shreve; step-father, Virgil Sharp; and sister, Carol Harrah.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Leppert Mortuary Services - Nora Chapel, from 10 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Rev. Jim Riley will officiate.
