Paul âMikeâ Michael Hannah, age 67, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born November 9, 1948, in Elwood, IN to Paul Eugene Hannah and Bonita Lou Warner Hannah. On November 13, 1971, he married the love of his life, Malinda F. Miller Hannah, who survives.
Mike was a 1966 graduate of Frankton High School and a 1970 graduate of Purdue University. He served his country in the US Air Force Reserves from 1971-1977. Mike was a mechanical engineer and an integral part of Delphi Automotive for over 40 years working in Anderson and Kokomo, Indiana and Albany, GA. He was an avid golfer, boater, hunter and animal lover. He enjoyed Purdue basketball as much as he enjoyed refereeing high school and small college basketball. Mike served as an Elder and a Deacon at Albany Christian Church in Albany, GA and attended Dayton Memorial Presbyterian Church in Dayton, IN. He loved and cherished his family most of all. His wife, children and grandchildren were his world. He was an outstanding role model for his children and grandchildren and was always there to lend a helping hand whenever he was needed. He was an amazing problem solver and enjoyed teaching his family how to properly fix something. Mike will be sadly missed by those who knew him best.
Mike is survived by his wife, Malinda; three children, Jeffrey Hannah (Jenna) of Portage, IN, Jennifer Armitage (John) of Westfield, IN and Bethany Stangle (Joe) of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Riley and Noah Armitage, Aurora Stangle and Sofia and Dalton Hannah. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the funeral home at 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday. Pastor Justin Schleslinger-Devlin will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.
