Paulita Louise âPollyâ Lipp, 91, a lifelong resident of Frankfort, died on Monday, November 5, 2012, at St. Maryâs Healthcare Center in Lafayette.
She was born November 10, 1921, in Clinton County, the daughter of Albert Ellis and Trella Orella Niebrand Weaver.
Polly married Walter Paul Lipp on June 23, 1940; he preceded her in death on June 17, 2004.
In 1940, Polly graduated from Frankfort High School. She worked as a food dietitian with the Community Schools of Frankfort for 25 years before retiring in 1982. Polly was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving Polly are two children, Ellis Paul (wife, Janet Sue) Lipp of Charlottesville, and Paula Kaye (husband, Kim) Humburg of Lafayette; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Franklin Weaver; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Lipp.
A memorial service will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. with Tom Smith, her grandson, officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be offered for one half hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Inurnment will follow at the cemetery.
