Peggy Grant, 76, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on March 14, 1945, in Frankfort, to Charles and June (Eaton) Pippenger.  She married Dennis Merritt on July 19, 1969 and they later divorced. She married David Grant on June 29, 1986; he survives.

Peggy was a life-long Clinton County resident and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1964.  She worked at Clinton County Hospital for 28 years from 1966 until her retirement in 1994. 

Surviving with her husband, David, is her son, Scott (Kristlyn) Merritt of Frankfort; brother, Robert (Julie) Pippenger; grandchildren, Emily (Alec) Cummings of Danville, Nathan Merritt of Danville, David Merritt of Frankfort, and Grant and Grace Merritt of Frankfort; and great-granddaughter, Braylee Cummings.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Philip Merritt; daughter, Bonita Merritt; sister, Linda Woods; and an infant sister.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.
