Phyllis Jean Morris
Phyllis Jean Morris, 86, of Flora, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at her home.
She was born March 10, 1929, in Delphi, to Sherrell and Grace Lillian Riggle Strain. On January 6, 1945, she married Charles Robert Morris; he preceded her in death in February, 1988.
Phyllis attended Delphi Schools. Throughout her life, she worked at Flora Spring Factory, Morrisâ Manufacturing for 10 years, and later at the Flora Senior Center and Thirft Shop on a part-time basis. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Her family would appreciate each person thinking of Phyllis the next time the 23rd Psalm or Amazing Grace in Heard.
Surviving are one daughter, Sue (Bob) Henson of Flora; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charles Edward Morris; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Jenkins; and one great-great grandchild.
