Phyllis ""Jeannie"" Jean Brower-Dague

Phyllis Jean “Jeannie” Brower Dague, 88, of Flora, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Delphi. She was born on January 16, 1928, Logansport, the daughter of the late Charles and Mae Zook.  Jeannie married Dana Brower who preceded her in death.  She later married Robert Dague in August of 1976; he passed away on May 1, 2016.

Jeannie was a 1946 graduate of Flora High School and worked at Sayco Valve in Flora for 25 years. She was a member of Living Faith Church of Flora. Jeannie loved to go to garage sales, earning her title of Garage Sale Grandma, and also enjoyed camping.

Surviving Jeannie are her son, Donald Steven Brower, of Flora;  step-children, Don Dague, Beth Brown, Paula (Tom) Rector and Joe (Ann) Dague; 6 grandchildren, Shannon (Stephen) Lawler, Shanda (Chad) Whitaker, Brad (Sonya) Whitacre,  Brandon Whitacre, Marsha (Justin) Gyles and Matt (Jennifer) Brower; 8 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sharon Lee Brower Whitaker, 3 brothers, Jerry Zook. Carl “Bud” Zook, William J Zook, 3 sisters, Pauline Zook Coomey, Vella Zook McKinley and Doraline Zook Yerkes

Funeral services will be on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel with Pastor Jeff Tomson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to1:00 pm Thursday January 19, 2017 at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora. Memorial may be made in Jeannie’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
