Phyllis Rheadawn Bradley, 80 of Frankfort died on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at her home. She was born January 27, 1936 in Bedford, Indiana to Hubert J. and Helen (Benge) McGinnis. On May 24, 1954, Phyllis married Alvin Ray who preceded her in death on May 9, 2012.
Phyllis worked as a geriatric nurse at Clinton House for over 20 years, retiring in 2009. She helped organize the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women's Auxiliary in Frankfort in 1970 and graduated from Ivy Tech in 1972. She also worked at Wesley Manor, Mulberry Lutheran Home, Bowles Nursing Home in Clarks Hill and also worked for Peter Paul for eight years.
Surviving family includes daughters, Melinda (Ron) Rothenburger and Deanna (Bill) Sexton; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Patricia Smith.
Phyllis was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda and Rhonda; one grandson, Stephen Ray; three sisters, Caroline, Jeanne and Sheila and an infant brother.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with visitation from 5:00p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be at 1:00p.m. on Thursday at the Green Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.
